The fractured self - the search for being
Ontological consultation

Over the twenty-seven years that I have been developing Ontological Kinesiology, I have witnessed the vastness, intricacy, depth and sheer enormity of the human Self. I have also seen the unflinching hand of fate, the unmistakable presence of Grace, the undeniable sanctity and spiritual nature of life and the quests to find ourselves. My work has paralleled my own journey and growth, as I have sought to understand my own failings, the complexity of my character, the familial patterns that I struggle with and the gradual unfolding of resources that I had been given but had laid dormant within me. In this way my own odyssey has helped me to unravel the problems of my clients.
I utilize what we call euphemistically a 'non verbal dialogue' system. A misnomer at best, because there is a great deal of talk in our sessions together, but it highlights the initial premise of the work, that the use of a gesture driven protolanguage – mudras – enable you and I to have a deep, complex, intimate and gracious conversation which is initiated by the mudras pointing a way towards the topic and its story. The language I use in my work will be new for many people, but the conceptual basis is simple and readily understood by most.  The work's essence is to help display those elements that have influenced our body as a complex organism [systems] and, over time, created a dysfunctional state. The dysfunction is a mirror or 'display' to alert us to pay attention.

I am often asked why someone would want or need a consultation using this ontological process. What use is it, what are its origins and how can it benefit someone?

Ontological Kinesiology is useful when:

  • you want to know the true source of what is bothering you.
  • you have an allergy or other chronic problem that is never resolved.
  • prescription medications/ nutritional supplements only initially resolve the problem.
  • your condition appears to be resolved but then returns.
  • you feel stuck or unable to manage aspects of your life -  relationships, sexuality, emotions, habitual patterns.
  • you are seeking a new direction or resource.
  • you want to explore the 'deeper' root cause of your state/illness.
  • you want to augment and support conventional therapy - a parallel process.
