Presuppositions used in the beginning of a workshop.
By using metaphor it is
possible to introduce complex ideas and truths.
There is a primary force that has two aspects:
one that envelopes and one that penetrates.
These higher Life Forces can guide us.
These are Holy in nature. [1]
There are secondary Life Forces [2] that both support and
influence us. When they exist in their proper relationship
they are supportive, and when out of order or in a position
that they influence us in a negative way, are then not so
useful.
As we develop as human beings we may be accompanied by a
force that makes us, like all of life rise up and seek
something larger or bigger than what we have known [3].
Initially we may mimic this quality or resource - this
helps to lay down a foundation whereby this resource can
actually grow.
The forces are ubiquitous. They are evident all the time.
We may use our sensory systems to be aware of their
presence. Our behaviour, speech, idiom, posture, stance all
betray the force in power. [4]
This constant flux and inherent rhythm of things, evident
in our bodies and state is also a reflection of a force,
natural and yet often foreign to us. This life force,
manifests as the capacity to change, to alter behavior, to
be flexible, to shift state.
We humans have the capacity to look beyond, to change
position and see things from a different position, to
observe things in a differing light. [5]
This capacity to reflect can also hinder us, so we must
also be able to let this go too, so that we can be
illuminated from the quietness of the mind rather than the
movement of it. This too, is a life force or bridge and
allows us to be taken to ‘see’ what is required or needed.
Modern day people talk about 'mind. body and spirit'. It
infers that spirit, the unseen yet accompanying force is
manifested and revealed through our feelings and our body.
That is our bodies act as displays to help us see when we
wander off, forget or merely are unconsciousness. [6]
We can become reflective of who and what we are, through
observing our state.
We have a part which knows everything we need to know. [7]
Within our inner worlds there are many dimensions and
levels. [8]
The map is not the territory. [9]
Notes
1 This is termed the Holy Spirit (Ruh Kudus [arabic] or
Ruah Qodesh [Hebrew]) that envelopes us and the Power of
the Light of Almighty God that penetrates us
2 The Material, vegetal, animal and human life forces.
3 Integrity / connection, a quality of the Holy Spirit
4 Flexibility / animation / quickening, a quality of the
Holy Spirit.
5 Reflectiveness / illumination, a quality of the Holy
Spirit.
6 Our body acts as a mirror of our internal state..
7 We need to educate and learn so that we can place our
inner understanding upon a framework.
8 That we exist with a hierarchical relationship with all
these forces.
9 Simply, that our world view is not the end of the
subject, we can only glimpse a piece of the
whole.
