Ontology
for the Skeptic

There
are unseen forces acting upon us all the time. Gravity for example
keeps us from flying off the planet. Prior to an understanding of
microbes, people thought "evil spirits" made them sick. As medicine
becomes more able to explore the unseen, we have a deeper
understanding of the forces that unite the universe. String theory,
for example is a unifying theory in physics that unites the
macrocosm with the microcosm. Though we cannot discount those
forces that have come before us, we can open to the possibility
that there may be others that affect us.
Ontology is an approach to health that unifies mind, body, and
spirit into a common understanding while addressing those unseen
forces that pull us "off health," and into a state of ill health.
It addresses aspects of our history, or coding, our feeling nature,
our animal nature and the human within us, thru a language that is
"hardwired" in us. Just as a hard drive is integral in the body of
the computer, this language is integral to us all. It is initially
uncovered with a hand mode, or mudra, and then verbal language can
be used to bring a state of consciousness to the unseen elements of
ourselves.
It provides a much more specific means to pinpoint those elements
that take us "off health," elements that are often subversive in
us.
It elevates health to a new level and depth of understanding. Just
like the appearance of new galaxies is made possible by a clearer
telescope that is not clouded by our own atmosphere, ontology cuts
thru the fog of self to illuminate the "stars within."
